I'm in a keeper league, but you only keep the guy for a year. You can choose to pick him again or choose someone else. The kicker is you lose the pick of the person you keep. And we have rules for guys acquired via trade/free agency. It's a great format.

I'm not sure about an auction draft. I'd be willing to try one but I don't think k I want to oversee one. It seems like the draft would be a lot more time consuming. And what happens when u run out of points, u just get people that nobody else bids on or does the CPU simulate, how does that work

Everyone who tries auctions falls in love with them merchant. Try one out with your old espn handle, they have live drafts rolling like 15 hours a day. You can literally pull it up and start drafting a team in 5 minutes.

You get $1 players when everyone else has a full team. That's part of the strategy. Try a mock. You'll get it. It's way better.

I've never done auctions, but doesn't that mean players can be owned by multiple teams? Or no?

Very time consuming. Just tried a mock, was on about 15 minutes and only got thru 3 picks. Not giving up on it yet tho, my internet has just been trippin. So, if a run out of money, I can only get players that nobody bids on, or it turns into a snake draft after, or $1 players cole, so ill have enough $1 for each pick even though I blew my money??!

I just think it's strange to have a player's value predetermined by someone else. Some guys have a pretty high standard deviation. Plus the strategy of an auction is so tedious. People raising the price with no intent of purchasing. I guess I like the old fashion draft, but I'd at least give an auction a chance. I've done it once for fantasy basketball yeeeeears ago.

It's even more strange never to have a shot at a guy who I think is going to have a monster year. If I think Alfred Morris is going to be great this year, and I'm picking 1st and 20th...I have no chance to get him. That doesn't make sense. The risk in bidding for someone you don't want is getting stuck with him. It's chess compared to checkers.

As far as the time consuming thing goes...who gives a shit? Fantasy drafts are ridiculously fun. They're the best part of fantasy football by far. An extra hour or so is a small price to pay for a much better, more skillful, more fun experience.

Cole. Please break it down. Let's say I go all in on a player or two early on and blow all my money. Does that mean from that point on I can only draft people that I nominate and nobody else puts a bid in for??!
