It would be a good fit. Jets should get him. I bet he can be had on the cheap.

He already got his big paycheck, and we saw what that did to him. I'd be skeptical.

Jets would be a good spot, if he's got anything left. He hasn't done shit to impress me. But if he accepted a lesser role, more of a pass catcher while ivory is your between the tackles guy, could be sweet.

I would've liked Moreno or even Sproles more because of what they can do in the passing game. Geno's gonna need some easy targets. CJ got better in that department last year, though.

Sproles is a very decent player. Too bad he went to the Eagles.

Big Time.

He is worth a gamble. He will come cheap.

Running backs are all fairly replaceable. There's like a handful that are actually difference makers and worth paying. CJ isn't one of them anymore. I remember when some here were lauding the Colts for trading their first for Trent Richardson last year  .

Post subject:  Re: NFL thread

Jets wouldn't need him to be a difference maker, they had I believe the 6th best rushing attack last year and he'd essentially be replacing Powell, who he is better than. complimentary role, change of pace back, catch some balls out of the backfield, shouldn't be all that expensive. worth the gamble.

Post subject:  Re: NFL thread

I don't know that he's better than Powell at this point.

GTFOH with the ridiculous claims. Not much better than Powell?!! :kopfpatsch: Hes not finished. He played for the bum ass Titans, got money and nobody really there to put his ass in line. If he went to a team with true leaders and talent he could be great. His explosiveness is still there. Just what kinda motivation is it playing for a bum ass team that he never seemed eye-to-eye with?

In all seriousness...I could see then snagging a playoff spot next year now with Vick in place since they went 8-8 last year.

Post subject:  Re: NFL thread

Offense is clearly better on paper, by a mile. We may get Sydney Rice (I know, nothing most fans would get excited about, but consider our WRs). Then the draft still to come. So considering 8-8 last year and what should already be a much better offense even before the draft, im optimistic.

And Rice re-signs with Seattle. :kopfpatsch:
