What are your thoughts on this? Should they be able to smoke dope and be on PED's? Does it set a bad precedent? The U.S. is becoming more and more lax with marijuana use as a whole, so, is it really that big a deal if some NFL player wants to smoke a joint after a game? Should it only be allowed during the off-season? Should steroids only be allowed during the off-season? I'm really curious what your thoughts are on all of this.

I say No.

People look up to athletes, buy tickets and jerseys. Pay these guys salaries. They're suppose to be role models who children look up to. Not drug and PED users. If they're getting paid millions of dollars to play a sport. Why the hell would anyone want to get high? My high would be my fat ass pay check. I don's care if it's only pot, no. Not for the money they make. And if they're tested positive. Suspend or band their asses period.

I think they should be allowed to smoke weed. PED's no. Weed should be legal, period. I mean the whole role model argument is valid, but why should the laws relegate what we'll allow our role models to consume? If the law said booze was illegal, should we demand for our kids sake that athletes not drink? Now do I want these athletes advertising for weed? As role models and representatives of a franchise? No, too far. But smoking some weed? ya man, let em.

PED's??? No. That shit should not be allowed at all. For themselves, for the sake of the kids, for the sake of an even playing field, hunt for that shit.

Hey, you have a point. But you know what, if I had kids, that wouldn't bother me, because it would be my responsibility to govern what my kids have access to. Kids get all kinds of shit on the internet. Seeing their fave sports player smoking up on TMZ wouldn't be anything different from any of the shit we see now. So while the point is a definite answer to Bands question, it's irrelevant to the issue.

Point is though, since these guys are paid by the franchise, they have to conduct themselves accordingly, since the franchises and the league are investing in them. If that means not smoking pot, so be it, or get canned. Simple as that.
