Unless his production falls off, in which case they will be on the hook for every dime of that 10 year deal, which is just insane. 10 fucking years.

Yanks sign Aaron Hicks to a 7 year 70 mil extension. thats a fantastic deal that could prove to be a bargain down the road. i think his best is yet to come. and thats great long term security for Hicks even if he's underpaid at some point.

maybe because he hit. 249 last year while posting a 1.3 WAR while Hicks hit .248 while posting a WAR over 4. One just got signed for 10 mil while the other wants more than 30 mil. just saying.
