I think we should hold off on the whole selfish and self absorbed thing til we know from her mouth what it actually was about. If you can't go, you cant go, its not self to pull yourself if something is wrecking your focus.

But fragile, gutless, lacking fortitude are definitely applicable labels to this. Because when the going got tough, she got going....back home, and after she been talkin so much shit about how they change the rules because she so much better than the rest etc etc.

But this is the age where everything now is mental health mental health, so because it is excuses....there are bound to be ppl who cry wolf with it, and we can never be sure when its actually that.

After my humbling experience a few months ago, I am very hesistant to call anyone out for being "bitches" or heartless or shying away from a moment. I choked under the cameras and crowd and sandpit bullshit, standing there for hours, and gave a shit effort before calling it a day. Its a different thing when you are in her shoes. I am just now getting it back together and looking for boxing gyms to get my spar on, cause I know i'm better than that, after throwing out a lot of my equipment. Mental health is important.

Oh yea and jermz, we still gotta run that ! :boxer:

well is there an issue with even the common fan calling it like it is, good or bad?? ive certainly never heard an athlete complain about being worshipped, idolized, fantasized, celebrated, put on a pedestal, and all that other good stuff.

ive always been less inclined to label anyone a quitter or a bitch, definitely less inclined than you. Simone Biles flat out quit. thats textbook, dictionary definition quitting. im saying it, its true, and idgaf that I never competed at the Olympics. thats not my job. its her job.

and based on her statement, she basically said she was just to stressed and nervous and basically the moment got to big and once that was the case it stopped being fun. so she just decided not to compete.


but she's a hero. and her teammates that were going through similar things, but gutted it out and did there jobs, AT THE OLYMPICS, are simple afterthoughts. get the fuck outta my face.

if people wanna give her a pass and not criticize her for folding and quitting thats fine. nobody is perfect. what im trippin' off is people making her out to be a hero. and praising her. she aint the only athlete at the Olympics with pressure on them. what should we say about those who actually face that pressure?? excel in that pressure?? or even if they dont excel?? i dont see anyone praising team USA basketball for facing the pressure head on?? they are all participating and they're getting clowned for losing.
