I will never forget Zim being tossed head first into the dirt by the great Pedro. One of the best memories in baseball.

im now remembering Ramirez spouting off at Clemens because Clemens threw an inside pitch that was about 2 inches inside. Manny is/was so stupid. Clemens could have hit him with 92 right on his jaw if he wanted to. btw, war David Price.

definitely a great memory. Yankees showed they weren't fucking around. i'll never forget Posada threatening Pedro from across dug-outs. Pedro was shook.

Pedro is one of the best pitchers ever, but he was a coward who played tough guy with a baseball as a weapon in his hands. Any head hunting pitcher in the AL is a coward. I don't recall Pedro being that same head hunter with the Mets. But its ok, because we eventually sonned him.

I met Pedro on a summer day in downtown Toronto in a restaurant. Almost didn't realize it was him. He was a pretty cool guy, chilled and talked with us for a while.

Toronto just came into town and swept our asses. Confidence is shot, but that team is clearly the best in the East and maybe all of baseball, and they're going to get Rasmus back, who they should probably just trade at the deadline for pitching. I went to the game and was surrounded by drunk Canadiens. Nightmare.

is Verlander done as a top pitcher?? as Owen Wilson said to Vince Vaughn in Wedding Crashers, every time I turn around he's getting put on his ass.

It seems he's completely lost confidence now that his velocity isn't what it was, and that has lead to him losing command. I'm watching him walk guys on four straight pitches and it's mind boggling. For a guy with 4 top notch pitches, he should be able to deal with the speed not being what it was and still carve guys up.

Image

It's like he forgets that he still has all of that out of the same arm slot. He needs to forget about being a flamethrower who goes out to get no hitters and focus on pitching. It's not like he was ever one dimensional. He had the pitches on top of the velocity.

He's having a good year. Got unlucky on the Holt AB to start the inning, and Papi kills us.

These throws Cespedes is making are amazing. Now he just needs to learn how to field the ball like he's not a drunk infant.

Yanks just 3.5 games back, 2 in the loss column (so are the Os for that matter). Yanks at Oak this weekend and Toronto at Baltimore, then Yanks at home for 3 against Toronto next week. Already scoreboard watching, cause Toronto is so damn unbeatable only an idiot would think they aren't guaranteed to win the division despite not winning it since I was in grammar school.

Yanks probably get swept @ Oakland. Then lose the series to Toronto. Book it.

so that's a total of at least 1-5 in their next 6. so if they go at least 2-4 I win the bet. at least 1-5 and you win. the 2 week sig bet has been booked. No need for you to confirm, but you need to officially bitch out if you're gonna go that route.

GTFO . The bet would be set at 2 games. We all know the yanks suck, but even the Astros can take a game out of two series.
