I respect Kahbib more than ever at this point.

He promised his mom after the passing of his father...this was the last one.

But you are right, he never gave Gaethje any time to enjoy his work.
He put in on Justin and playing pinball went it went TILT.
He closed the distance and Justin couldn't recover at any point other than throw bombs.
Justin was gassing and getting sloppy.

Kahbib at 29-0 will go down as one of the best if not speculated to ever be the best there.

Gaethje did land some great hard kicks, but he was clearly holding back on the number of kicks he threw. and for good reason. the last one he threw was the beginning of the end. Khabib can be hit, but you gotta put his lights out. Gaethje couldnt have done anything more than he did. except just hit harder. landed big shots upstairs. big leg kicks. stuffed takedowns. thats pretty much going down the checklist of must do's. and he didnt make it out the 2nd anyway.

not on October 24, but Gaethje will still be LW champion.

Thats almost like ppl said you have to knock Floyds lights out. Khabibs movement, his striking, his pressure, and his quick level changes make it essentially the most difficult task in the sport to load up on him and knock him out. And even if you load up, he's an elite level fighter physically, and fighters that good usually have a really good beard, and recover quick from queer street.

Someone would just have to get lucky, and no one ever gets that against a fighter of that class.

I want him and GSP. That is the only test left.

Khabibs striking is still mediocre at best. he threw an uppercut, or whatever it was, and it was one of the worst thrown strikes I've ever seen. the thing is, he was able to strike with guys like Dustin, Conor, and Justin on even terms not because his own striking improved, its because the threat of the takedown actually lowers the striking ability of his opponents. they're just as focused on anticipating and worrying about the takedown as they are focused on trying to hit him.
