This was actually scheduled first so they put TC-Spence on the same night.

You'd assume TC-Spence sells more, but I rarely even see promotion and commercials for it. The numbers should be interesting.

TC-Spence should do close to 2 mil honestly given the magnitude and years of anticipation for the fight. Let's see if boxing fans can represent and do this generational mega fight some justice. UFC on the same night should have no negative effect on the boxing #s.

My every hope is that I can catch an immediate replay of the Spence/TC fight the next day, or maybe even a short time after the UFC is over, while avoiding the result.

UFC on the same night definitely will have some negative effects lol there are plenty of fans like yourself who are going to tune into UFC and just "catch " the TC-Spence fight later or some other time. I get it should be fireworks but these guys aint even fighting for a belt while the other is HISTORIC.

The lack of promotion is gonna have more of a negative impact on fight sales than anything else. The fans in the middle, the casuals, need the visuals, the reminders, the highlights, the convincing, to watch the fight. I've been seeing and hearing about Gaethje Porier 2 at will across all ESPN channels the last 2 weeks. Shit, even the mma websites are pushing that fight more than boxing sites are pushing their fight. Porier makes 1 comment stating that it is he, not Gaethje, that is MMAs most violent fighter, and it becomes a full blown headline.

Ya probably. I don't access those networks so I take your word that they are half assing the promotion. Errol and Bud arent mudslinging and engaging in a minstrel show either. Which is great for fight feel and respect, but terrible for fight promotion.

What a night. 2 and a half hour power outage, power came on 15 min before the PPV. Justin motherfucking Gaethje.

Let's see if I can avoid the Spence TC result until tomorrow.

We had a power outage last night at 7:00 , right as the first fight was finna come on, drink in hand, all primed to go. I wanted to cry lmao. But power came back at 9:50, just in time. Had to watch the prelims on my phone. Of all the fucking days lol.
