Religion has done a helluva lot more to divide the people of this world than bring them together, so I personally wouldn't have a problem with someone condemning it. But singling out Muslims would be wrong. Still, that wouldn't be enough to jolt the entire nation and warrant a punishment like the one Sterling got. For one, you can (technically) choose what you believe in. You can't choose your skin color. Secondly, 80% of the league isn't Muslim. How many sponsors would Sterling have lost had he said something about Muslims? I'm sure a decent part of the reason Sterling is gone is because the money is, too, at least with him still there.

Btw, Owners can say they want him to sell the team, it doesn't mean he has to. He will go to an appeals process which can take up 2 years. By than we don't even know if the old man will be alive. But if I were him I would sell the team for that cool 600 million it's worth and tell the rest of the league to kiss my old white ass. Naw, they'll make him sell the team. This is a league of like 85% black, not only that, but the players have said yes master to every demand made to them by the commissioner, no matter how they felt about it. When image was a concern, these guys complied to coming to games dressed to the 9s and they happily participate in all the NBA cares stuff they got going on. It's sad that mother fuckers gonna make a huge profit. there is a provision in the NBA constitution that allows the other teams to vote to eliminate a franchise from the league. I know they won;t go that route due to the logistics of having an uneven number of teams in the league, but it would serve this ficker right. That way he doesn't get a dime for the team.
