That means plenty to me. Revis left NYJ got a cheap Durant style ring and faded to bolivian. Dude has no big game moments or highlights. Fuckin Sherm was on the cover of MADDEN!! Exactly man. Revis went to TB for 1 year and finished as a top 3 CB while playing that Tampa 2 zone. So he was elite in zone and man. Sherm only in zone, the easiest of the 2 by far. No comparison. |

That argument means nothing. QBs supposedly "knew" where Sherm would be yet he has more INTs and again, had bigger moments than Revis. Again, i dont care if Revis followed around Jesus himself, he was not a better overall football player, leader, impact franchise player, like Sherm. |

Marcus Peter's has more INTs than Revis too.  Zone D is designed to trick and manipulate QBs into mistakes. And when u have a great system in place with great players all over the field, they all gonna eat. Man is obviously different. Much easier for Qbs to deciper what's what, who's open who's not. Oh man to man, WR covered like a blanket, not going there. No trickeration, no getting confused. So now Sherman lived 1 life, playing an easier and safer style with alot more talent around him. Had 8 more INTs. So basically 1 int more per season. That's NOTHING. Reggie Wayne had 111 catches 1 season then visited Revis Island in the playoffs. 1 catch for 1yd. That 1 catch was Wayne's only target. Jets won by 1 point, 17-16. But Revis had no INTs. No big "moment." As if holding an all world WR to 1 fucking yd in his own home with Manning at qb ain't a whole ass fucking moment. Sherms pick 6 of bum ass Matt Schaub of a bum ass Texans team in week 6 of the regular season qualifies as a "moment." Fuck outta here.

Such a magical moment on a grand stage against America's team. Blah blah. Great play but not one of Revis better games overall. But hey he had a moment lol. Man that shit dont mean nothing. He also had Rex Ryan legendary defensive mind scheming up blitzes like crazy. And Bill belichick, two great defensive coaches. Anytime their is a man scheme it will involve heavy blitzing. So I aint trying to hear that shit. Sherm's scheme involved a 4 man rush, rarely any blitzing. So we can do this all day. I was a Sherm head back then, but this is crazy. We not gonna compare the amount of high end defensive talent on that team during prime LOB years that made a without a doubt already great defensive player in Sherm look even greater.... to the players Revis played with while on top and locking down the best receivers in the game... and write it all off to Rex Ryans scheming, no fuckin way man. Revis > Sherm. Objectively they aint call that shit Sherm Island, they called it the LOB. And they called that shit Revis Island, not Jets Island. |
