im curious as to whether Conors ankle was already damaged from Dustin checking a kick or if it was just purely a freak accident. the fight was really a blur with all the excitement and fast pace of it. them dudes was throwing down fast and furious. great great round of action. i gotta rewatch.

Yea, it was definitely fire. But to me it was only a matter of time. And it was clear who was taking the worse of it.
Conor's eraser has been absent even before the Floyd fight. It still looks awesome when its thrown and when it lands, but its clearly not the same physically. And after seeing it and experiencing in the past 2 fights, Dustin started walking it down. We know what it means in boxing when a guy starts walking another guy punching down, it means hes lost all respect for the guys power.
Conor came in trying to deploy kicks to keep Dustin honest, even the submission attempt, but those were getting caught and checked before they even got half way into the round. Conors entire offensive repertoire was being picked apart.
