I think the Cavs draft Embiid and lure Lebron back to Cleveland in a couple years. His shoulders are wearing out in Miami. Irving, Waiters, Bron, Thompson, Embiid. Just hand them the trophy.

First and foremost Lebron isn't going back to Clev, that pipedream is right up there with Floyd vs Manny. Secondly, Irving, Waiters, Bron, Thompson, Embiid, isn't some ''just hand them the trophy'' type of team, that's way to premature to even mention.

Wow, your hate for Irving runs deeper than I thought. And you're obviously under rating Embiid. Think Howard, but bigger and better offensively.

I agree with Anis. A lot more would have to go right for that group to win a title.

I'm not all that sold on Irving either. And before I even go there, waiters and Thomson aren't all that either.

In two years, they'd be better than the Heat if they had LeBron. Much. I guarantee that.

Bosh is a pussy. Wade will be old. What else are you looking at on that team?

2 of the players on this team haven't made a single All star team between them, one has never taken an NBA dribble as of yet, and Kyrie is an allstar who doesn't play defense. who is the coach of this team?? who's on the bench?? whats the rest of the NBA looking like?? all I said was the talk of guaranteed rings is premature. you don't have to exaggerate to prove a point. would they probably be really good?? yea. just start from there.

Trades. Free agency. they can build around Lebron. Just like they built a perennial contender with Hardaway and Mourning, then built a champion with Wade and Shaq, then built a dynasty by adding James and Bosh. Miami is a very competent organization and has been way before Lebron was even in the NBA. Clev, the exact opposite.

"Never taken an NBA dribble." What kind of sorry ass argument is that? This is a league that would take 16 year olds if they were allowed to be drafted. I'm pretty sure Embiid is going to get over that massive hump of "taking his first NBA dribble" and remain 7'0, 250 pounds, all muscle.

As for your questions.

Who is the coach?
I don't know. Who the fuck is Frank Vogel or Erik Spoelstra? Doesn't really matter. But any team with Lebron will have its fair share of capable suitors.

Who's on the bench?
Jack, Bennett, Hawes, Varejao, Zeller, Gee, Dellavedova. Some of those guys are probably gone, but it's not a bad starting point.

What is the NBA looking like?
Pretty much the exact same as it does now. Case in point: the Spurs are still headed to the Finals in 2014, against the same team as last year. Not a whole lot changes in this league.

And so what if Kyrie "doesn't play defense"? Lebron, Embiid and Thompson play more than enough to make up for it. Don't be so short sighted. It wouldn't kill you to have some imagination. We're only talking on a message board.

Bosh is a pussy, but he's still a good to great player. If on the cavs right now after the draft right now he'd be the second best player at worst, and over an 82 game season he'd stat wise look as good as Irving. Wade > Irving.

Thompson, Waiters, solid players that still have a ways to go to get to that level between good and great. That imaginary team you're talking about would lose to the Pacers right now, which isn't terrible. As Anis said, yes they'd be good, but auto ring? No way.

Embiid has a ways to go as well. He's got strength to build, had other parts of his game to work on, and needs to log more ball experience. To put him in the same sentence as Howard before he's played a game in the NBA is blasphemy considering that by comparison Howard had played much more ball and was more of a physical oddity. Lets see how this kid handles playing with grown men, and how his body takes to professional level strain

what's so sorry about saying let a guy play some games in the NBA before we start making him a force on a team that's a guaranteed champion?? im all for imagination, putting Lebron back in Clev is plenty of imagination already. Im not going to imagine that this fictitious team of yours is the second coming of the mid 90s Chicago Bulls. Just the idea that they'd be wearing Cavs uniforms puts them at a huge disadvantage already. :-)

You guys are undervaluing what Embiid would do for Lebron. He's never had a legitimate center like he would have in Embiid. Think of what Howard was able to do in Orlando. Now add Lebron along with the all star franchise player you already have in Irving. That's the way I'm looking at it. I know you guys are a long way away from seeing Embiid as Howard, but give it time. I think he could be better. If I'm way off about that, I'll eat my words.

That team has 2 above average starters. That's not winning anything now a days. A mystery with back problems, and 2 below average starters. Waiters is fairly terrible. Thompson isn't any great shakes either.

I actually like where the Sixers are at. With Noel, they need a winger, and will end up with either Wiggins or Parker. They also won't have the "made the wrong" choice pressure, since they got the 3rd pick in a draft with an automatic Top 3.

Lebron will never go back to Cleveland, nor should he. Kyrie is one of the most overrated players in the league, and wants out of there, anyway.

Out of the big three, I still like Jabari best. I don't care about Wiggins athleticism. Jabari is just a better basketball player, and for the less athletic stigma he has, he could've played every position 1-5 last year, so he isn't exactly unathletic himself.

Embiid, I reserve judgement. Too many people think his potential is through the roof for me to dismiss it. But I wouldn't exactly be in a hurry to draft a dude Top 3 who didn't even produce big numbers at the College level, has won absolutely nothing, and is a big guy with back problems.

Agree with you on Parker and Wiggins. Disagree on Embiid. For whatever reason, he only averaged 23 minutes in college, which, for reference, is ten less minutes than Anthony Davis did at Kentucky. Now, I don't know what to pin that on. Could've been because he was still learning the game. Could've just been because Bill Self is an idiot. But his numbers obviously would've been bigger with more PT. Anyways, that team was incredibly talented without him, and also couldn't get out of the first weekend of the tourney without him.

As for the Cavs not being a sure thing with the addition of Lebron and Embiid, uh, have we forgotten how dismal Lebron's supporting cast was in Cleveland? And that team made the Finals. I think Irving and Embiid are a step up from Boobie Gibson and Big Z . And let's not forget the most obvious thing you're all forgetting: the eastern conference suuuuuuuucks. Put Lebron on almost any team in the East and they're in a pretty damn good position.

Embiid was in perpetual foul trouble. Hence the 23 minutes. His PER was ridicuous though.

The east was even more dismal during lebrons Cleveland run. That Cleveland Bron squad doesn't make the finals in the current East. The Cleveland dream team would be good for two or three in the east. And if they made the finals, I don't see them beating a healthy Clippers, Spurs, or OKC.

They'd be good. But ya, too many unknowns and unproven role players.
