i honestly believe that serena is by far the greatest female athlete ever and by a wide margin.not trying to knock anyone here,but on this board i know the most about tennis by far period! josofo would tell u that if he was ever around.the crazy thing about serena is that after she won the serena slam the 1st time back in 02(means u win 4 grand slams in a row but its not the calendar slam) she fell off for a lot of reasons! in 2002 she won 3 slams in a yr! didnt win more than 1 in a yr again until fucking 2009  after that initial serena slam,she got bored,overweight,injured,depressed.the broad even saw a fucking shrink at 1 point in the mid 2000es man she had her issues and still does she lost interest in the game and started branching out to fashion,movies,and like i said a few injuries and some depression from relationships not working out,deaths,all types of shit. gotta remember shes from compton so as much as i love her serena isnt exactly the brightest apple on the tree definitely some crazy mixed in there.so despite her 21 grand slams,man believe me she left a lot out there TRUST ME! thats the reason shes going so strong now,cuz with injuries,depression,and the other shit if u add it all up she basically was out of tennis for 5 yrs. not 5 yrs in a row,but when u add up all the time she was out it gets real close to 5 yrs. thats why shes hungrier now to win slams,than ever cuz shes taking the game more seriously than she ever has! she used to hate practicing,working hard,at 1 point she didnt even wanna play unless it was a grand slam just the fact that she went 6 yrs without winning wimby and the us open is amazing in itself cuz those courts suit her game better than anyone really! australia was basically her best slam in her 20es...shouldnt have been,but thats the slam she always was motivated for and could rely on to win than after winning it in 2010 it took her 5 yrs to win that 1 again throughout her career she struggled so much cuz she knew nobody could beat her besides herself really.and thats scary cuz serena has played with more hofers than any great player(venus,capriati,henin,clijsters,davenport,sharapova,hingis,more im forgetting about!) she basically outlasted them all besides sharapova but she owns her rousey has light yrs to go before u can even mention her in the same breath as serena really
