I was right about Jake Paul, hes not what is advertised at all. 5 rounds in and this dude was sucking air profusely. Woodley was faster, stronger, hit harder, and was the better striker. His issue was that he fought too cautious, didnt let his hands go, and was just not comfortable with having to cut off the bigger guy who was on his bike in a ring versus the octagon, in addition to clinch, which Paul used as a smother. Garbage fight. Jake Paul gonna get his ass whipped soon enough. And Jake Paul wont be knocking out anyone who has a pulse.

I did hear a rumor that Jake Paul took less money in this fight to ensure record paydays for others though, if he did, respect Jake Paul!

im not even sure what Paul was advertised as, not counting any looney tunes hardcore fans of his claiming he was some great boxer. it is what it is. you sound a little to bothered Jermz. If Paul should be advertised as anything, its 100% a fantastic business man. Dude just packed in 15k in the house that Lebron built and had Dave Chapelle, among others, in attendance. I am absolutely bothered. I'm going to always be bothered by these fucking Paul boys, why shouldnt I?

It's shit boxing behind rock stardom. All bluster and zero substance. Empty calories. But yes, respect him for foolin ppl out of their money, and of course for getting other fighters paid.

obviously you have to grade Paul on a curve. we've all seen legit great boxing. he aint it. and thats supposed to be the case. but he's pretty good given his schtick. dude was a nobody Youtuber a few years ago. now he just beat a former UFC champion. imagine either of us training for a few years and then beating a former UFC champion. Its pretty impressive, again, grading on a curve.

I cannot stand either of the two, and I tuned in to watch Woodley hopefully knock his head off.
Here's the thing though.. This dude is carefully picking opponents, and he seems to be putting enough work into it that he's able to defend himself in there.

I ain't bothered by this shit at all. He ain't stopping anybody else from making money, he's not the reason boxing isn't really producing high profile fights in a consistent basis.

This clown got in the ring with a 39 year old retired UFC fighter who I thought for a split second forgot what he was doing ans looked like he was going to go in for a takedown at one point. Regardless of that though, he got in there and did well for himself ans entertained me on a Sunday night, for free on my end.

sort of feels like a compliment when we say he's carefully choosing his opponents. like you have to be on some level of good for that. :lol:

I mean, if I was Woodley on the career trajectory that he is, bordering on broke given Danas pay outs, and all I had to do was throw a fight for a record payday, I wouldnt even think twice. But ya, its hard to tell. Maybe thats so good about using Woodley to throw the fight :eusa_think:
