He does, but does having 2sb's overcome a barely over .500 record? PLus, both these guys have been eligible for a LONG time, and have not gotten in. Now, when they are doing this centennial class BS, they both magically get in. And they both happen to work on tv, so they can do this, surprise them live on the air thing? If they weren't HOF material 7 years ago, why are they HOF material today?

I guess it comes down to how you as an individual think about the HOF. To me, if it took 10 years of waiting for a "weak" class to get in, you don't belong in. To me, you are either HOF worthy, or you aren't. Neither of these guys are, and for 10 or so years, the HOF voters have agreed. But now all of a sudden they are worthy? Nah, fuck that.

No some guys have to wait, that’s just how it is.

And bottom line both those guys were very important figures on two very important franchises and had tremendous success.

Cowher always made the playoffs, two SB trips and got a ring. Jimmie won at the college level and then turned around the Cowboys with that trade and built a dynasty. Of course they are HOF’s.

yea, when you're the head coach who kick started one of the greatest dynasties of all time that culminated with 2 SBs, that matters a ton. when i think of that dynasty thats the first name i think, Jimmy Johnson. followed by Troy, Emmitt, and then Irvin, in that order. the 80-64 isnt all that but he's also 9-4 in the playoffs and again, 2 SBs. he's not Parcells or Walsh or Shula but he's a HOFer.

He went and had some shitty years in Miami i believe. And he really probably would have had 3 rings if he and Jerry could manage another season together. Barry switzer kind of came in and piggy backed.
