The Knicks traded Porzingis for a bag of chips. he's playing with a top 3 MVP candidate and they'll be in position to make the playoffs . Knicks will win 16 games. nothing here by the Knicks is to be admired or applauded.

Yeah, well the story behind that apparently is even more ridiculous. They tried to trade him for Anthony Davis, and David Griffin gave them the coldest of shoulders. They came away from that thinking the trade market for Porz was no where near as good as they thought it was, which is hilarious because the Pels were giving everyone the cold shoulder back then!

So with that, and their pettiness to not trade him where he wanted, they traded him for said bag of chips to Dallas. That is your New York Knickerbockers front office!

Chris is the definition of cusp. Miami doesnt win without him. And before that he was the go to guy in toronto and did as well as he could have given the shitty situation the team stayed in while he was there. Sadly if he doesnt get the nod it will be for two reasons:

1. His career got cut too short for him to lock it up. Nobody can tell me a stretch...who can defend 3 positions, pass well, hit the 3 and create his own offense wouldnt be a great 3rd option on any contending squad right now.

2. His best years were solo in toronto....the media blackout of toronto is a very real thing. Its still a regular thing for you yanks to know diddly fuckin squat about the team outside of the standings.....and it was far worse when bosh was there. So all his good work wasnt even seen to leave the necessary impression for hof.

So he is cusp....and theres the usual....well who else is getting in that would be a deciding factor.

I tend to lean with Austin on this. Now I say this with absolutely ZERO stats to back it up because I am feeling lazy right now. But my gut is that Ray is a yes. His shooting prowess was undeniable. But I get the comp you are trying to make. They are both the perfect "#3" on a contending team, for different reasons. But when I saw the list of nominees, and they were putting bosh on the no brainer level or Kobe, Garnett and Duncan, I just immediately went the other way with it.

yea i haven't looked at any stats either but both were prevalent figures in the game when i was a hardcore fan. I think Allen put together a HOF resume more worthy. and he was HOF great at something. there's a HOF memorable quality there. that doesnt exist with Christopher.
