you know what, you're right. I overlooked some simple math and common sense. id definitely put SA, OKC, and Houston (assuming they get Bosh and retain Parsons) ahead of Clev. But those 3 play in the West and Clev is almost guaranteed to make the Finals while 2 of those 3 are definitely guaranteed to not make the Finals, so by that simple math Clev is ahead of 2 of those 3. But all 3 of those teams are better right now.

On paper, Houston could be as good as the the Cavs, but I have a feeling they won't be. Howard and Bosh are very good players, but they lack playoff mettle. It would be up to Harden to will them forward at some point, and if he has an off shooting night, they're dead in the water. Between the two teams, the Cavs have the two best players IMO, and one of them is LBJ. That's difficult to overcome. I've got the Cavs winning it all next year. SA has a hangover, and I don't think anyone else in the West is ready to take over. They'll beat themselves up good trying while Cleveland coasts.

Jermz you just not seeing it. This is what Lin needed to get back on track. Now, he didn't exactly fall completely off the track, he's been a decent albeit inconsistent player these last couple yrs, just fell short of expectations. But now he's gonna have what he didn't have in Houston, which is leadership and tough love. Get Byron Scott as coach, get Gasol, and that's just what the Dr ordered for Lin, along with Kobe of course. If they're smart enough to let him start with Kobe/Gasol/Randle, you have yourself a bonafide 15/8 PG.
