I'm not gonna pretend like I know anything about hockey but I always watch the kings when they're in the playoffs. Playoff hockey is fuckin intense man, a lot better than the NBA playoffs.

Anis, the kings have a huge following here. Lots of support from white people and Mexicans. Its just never going to compete with the Lakers and dodgers. Chicago might have a more rabid fan base, but that's only because they haven't had shit to cheer about since Jordan. the bears havent won since the 1800's and the cubs are a bigger joke than the marlins.

Grubs what's it like in NY? Is this getting the attention it deserves? I'm really interested to hear the type of buzz it's getting there.

I plan to watch every game. Throw the numbers out the window, I really think getting St Louis helped that team. It's not just about stats, it's about talent, and the guy is a top 15 offensive talent in the world. Him being the ice is why I don't think this is just a complete mismatch in favor of LA offensively.

I don't see much of LA play during the regular season, but got damn, every time I do see them play I am so impressed by Doughty and Quick. Kopitar and Carter playing the PK is awesome too. Hope Kopitar gets the Selke this year. That is such a fun team to watch.

I really don't think the NYR will win, but I didn't think they'd win a single series this year so what the hell do I know.

Well, it's not quite the Knicks, but for hockey, it is getting a lot buzz. 10K are going to watch the game at Bryant Park tonight. So there is a lot of excitement. I've seen more random Rangers shirt in the last week than I've seen my entire life. I was nine turning ten during the Rangers '94 run, and it doesn't seem as big this time around. That may be because I'm an adult now, and everything seems grander as a kid. But hockey is definitely in the forefront for the time being, which makes me happy. Our main sports radio guy, Mike Francesa is doing wall-to-wall hockey coverage, and he's spent most of the last 20 years ignoring it. So hockey is getting its due.

I'm so nervous right now. I want this bad.

No Doc Emerick tonight! What an added bonus.

this motherfucker apparently forgot how to skate for a split second and fell down for no reason, then compounds the issue by making an egregious pass to an LA player deep in their own zone, setting up what amounted to an easy NBA lay up. That's some Bill Buckner type of fuck up. so sad.

Can't close. Tough way to start the series.

For all the early talk about the nhl playoffs being better than the nba playoffs this year, the finals has been an absolute shit kicking. Is NY gonna make a series of this or what?

I feel bad for the Rangers. Tough to pull it together after losing the first two the way they did. Probably ends tonight.

Blackhawks came back on the kings and forced a game 7. Rangers can do it too.

I've been on a week hiatus because I wanted to live under a rock to watch the Cotto vs Martinez fight like it was live on the HBO Replay (totally worth it).

I've been watching though, and game 5 was the best fucking game of hockey I've seen all year surpassing USA vs Russia.

The better team won and I tip my hat to them and the western conference. I'm excited for changes in the Pens organization and team. I'm already looking forward to next year.

I think Stamkos wins the Hart - saying that right now, dude is about to blow.
