Don't think that series is over...Rockets need to start Asik and I think they'll be fine. One of the only matchups where the Asik/Howard frontline makes sense together.

you guys talk all that shit once things start to play out. im fairly sure none of you picked Portland. this isn't some situation where you guys knew better than everyone else and its showing. Houston was an upper tier team this year with 2 upper tier players on the perimeter and post and a great #3 in Parsons. what has happened is, Aldridge has transformed into the NBAs best and most dominant player thru 2 games, and James Harden is shooting under 30%. those 2 unforeseeable things have led to Portland squeaking 2 games thus far. SA and the Bulls and OKC and the Clips all don't look so hot either. But Jermz saw all of that too.

None of us called ourselves sages. We don't need an explanation as to how Houston is losing, we know why they are losing. We knew they weren't as good as you believed they were, that is all. Houston got hot and you got excited, in spite of the fact that the team as a whole is filled with streaky player who get real hot, then abruptly cool off, and the ring leader is mr excuse himself Dwight Howard. Anyway, its whatever.
Cole, I'd agree with you about Asik, except for the fact that Asik, who doesn't need shots to be effective and a difference maker....feels overwhelmingly that he needs shots to be effective and a difference maker, which he wont get while Howard believes that he is the NBA's best center and should be getting 25 shots a night as a result. For them to win, Harden is going to have to turn things around, and Aldridge is gonna have to cool off.
