The idea that you can sue for billions is absurd. This country is so bizarre with regard to its laws. We shouldn't be suing cigarette manufacturers because people are stupid. But we should be changing laws on the books that are basically killing our society. But we don't wanna do that. I hate cigarettes, but that's part of what makes America what it is--you have the CHOICE to smoke or not smoke. I don't like the idea of cigarette companies target marketing to teenagers or what have you, but there's nothing else egregious about what they are doing. It's been known forever that cigarettes are addictive and they are made with addictive substances. Doesn't mean you should be able to sue them into the ground. What's next....ice cream? It's a bad precedent if you ask me.
