And for it to be that way for the next 99 years! Burlington is the biggest city in Vermont, thus the most expensive to live in Vermont, yet a quarter of the rentals have and will be rent controlled for a century. When Sanders left the Mayor's Office to run for Congress he had an approval rating above 80%, mostly due to the economy he and his worker coalition created. He was so popular, Burlington then voted for his right hand man as his successor, who then served for 24 of the next 26 years on the strength of the same economy implemented during Sanders' tenure.
So the second reason they don't bring up the Vermont economy is because when he ran its biggest city, he absolutely fucking ruled at it.

No one. Nader, back in the day, and Sanders are the only two Presidential candidates I have a fraction of respect for. The only thing Gabbard has going for her is anti-Imperialism rhetoric. That's literally it. Her politics everywhere else are garbage, lean right wing in a lot of ways, so I'm surprised a fucking Fidel Castro supporter likes this woman. The thing about Tulsi, though, she's not anti-imperialist.
She voted to increase Obama's budget twice. She voted to sanction Iran. She supported Netanyahu when he tried to sabotage the Iran deal. She voted against withdrawing from Iraq twice and Syria once.
The reason I took a cheap shot with voting with your dick is because I'm honestly baffled as to why else you'd vote for her. You criticize Bernie as not anti-imperialist enough, which is fair, I would actually agree with that. However, Bernie is significantly more anti-imperialist than Gabbard, so it's odd how it's "Fuck Bernie" and "Tulsi is the one with balls." It is not my opinion that Sanders is more anti-imperialist than Gabbard, it's empirical data. Peace Action West keeps a roll call for all house and senate votes and keeps a percentage of voting with us (anti-war, anti-intervention) and against us.
So, while (I think) you'd agree that Sanders has better policies than Gabbard in things like health care (which she's already wavered from universal), education, housing, education, he's also more anti-imperialism. So, like, I don't know what you're doing, bruh. She's criticizing Hillary Clinton more publicly, cool. She's polling at 5%, she can do that. Sanders is trying to win a nomination. He's playing a longer game, a longer game that would probably include Tulsi in his cabinet if he were to win.
Gabbard has also said nothing about Bolivia, so maybe it's not that safe to be in support of Morales, after all.
