Hey, it's Burowz. A fresh new start...I'm not feeling it. Really I'm not. I feel bad for Jermz that he didn't create a backup, but that shit is inexcusable to me. It just doesn't sit well with me. I don't get how everything can just be "lost". Surely the server would have some kind of backup or something... It's just too egregious of an error to look past. All those years just gone. Eviscerated forever. It just will never be the same. I think this happening is just a sign to move on. So I'm moving on. Take care ya'll |

I am sorry you are going through this. there must have been some great times here over a number of years for you to act this way. this board does look rather new and upstart. when was it born? what happened? |

The fact that there was no backup elsewhere puzzles me. I don't think people who have forums have to physically use their home PC to make backups every now and then with filezilla. I always operated on the assumption that Nazty had a backup, or that the service itself made backups. Even beyond that it doesn't seem unreasonable that the company cant recover the data off of the hard drives. I have never had hard drive failure that I haven't been able get stuff back from or at least had signs that something was fucked. Even looking at the new front end, there are all kinds of options for creating and maintaining backups, its far more sophisticated. It's what we should have had in the first place. |

The idea was made with the intent of no banning members no natter how cruel, crazy or ruthless they are. It's what made HBO the best message on the web. |
