well idk if everywhere but i read a few days ago that alot of NJ beaches arent allowing people in the water because there's a shortage of lifeguards. who the fuck goes to the beach to not go in the water?? then i saw the madness for myself today. at the waterpark, a number of water slides are out of service. certain spots that normally have 2 employees manning the slides, only had 1 employee. so double the work for the poor employee, meaning double times on the lines. come to find out, they're short staffed. hours later, we go to a diner, sign outside says " short staffed, we apologize, please be patient. " then they tell us 25 minute wait. short staff, employees are swamped, they cant get customers in and out in a timely fashion.

shit is crazy.

So when are you gonna tell us why the fuck this is going on? Why are they short staffed?

People are hesitant if they don't have to work I guess....dunno.

But I'd guess that taking a job like anything in the service industry....especially restaurants...I wouldn't want to deal with the baffoons refusing to reply with company policies like masks for example. Or maybe they are just trying to stay away from COVID.

I don't know about the rest of the workforce. People who have been working at home like it and don't want to go back realizing its the same for them minus the hour or more it takes to get there and back.

i cant imagine the same 18 year old out there partying and being out and about giving zero shits about Covid is all of a sudden hesitant to work because Covid is out there.

Then you have your answer. Its not the same 18 year old. Life guards sometimes, lets say 50/50 tend to be responsible people, so they may opt to lower covid infection risk. And even if they are the reckless party during covid type, theres still a big diff between parying with your friends...than working a job around hundreds of randoms a day.

Im starting to notice this trend in any job that requires someone to be around mass amounts of people, they are having trouble filling the positions.

They are giving people more money than yall up here as a monthly benefit since the pandemic started, and ya, same shit up here, when shit opened up ppl starting saying fuck it, I make more sitting at home than I do in my reg job. You'd think a gov would catch on incentivize ppl by reducing it so that ppl can double dip in a way.

They'll have to do something, it's a significant problem. Or they can just cut off the benefits all together, but other problems will skyrocket.

When I took that year and a half off work, I felt like I could never go back to the full time 9 to 5 gig. The laziness was upon me.

As soon as I got a job. It took 1 day to go right back into the unlazy get off your ass and go to work mode.

There's something like nine million service jobs that are unfilled right now. Everyone is hiring and these socialist POS are still trying to angle for more stimulus. The one Change.org petition which is calling for $2,000/month continuous stimulus payments now has 2.6 million signatures and I promise you the Marxistcrats will try and get something like that passed. The Dems are going to get slaughtered in the midterms and the Republicans will take back the House and Senate and Sleepy Joe and his henchmen won't be able to get anything else passed. Unfortunately, we are still 1 1/2 years away from that happening and plenty of damage can be done in the meantime.
