New numbers from Johns Hopkins today....Over 11,000 dead in the last 3 days. New mutated strain reported in 55 places and none of those cases traveled overseas. It's here and its 40-80% more contagious. Numbers--both cases and deaths---could now get even higher than previous projections.

Do the math....1,000,000 dead by the beginning of summer or sometimes shortly into summer.

Ya this shit is mutating. Our numbers is up to 3500-4000 a day now, and the govt is raaaaatled. They are talking about curfews now from 8pm to 5am and even more aggressive lock downs.

Now keep in mind we have stringent mask protocols. You can even go indoors anywhere without a mask. santizers flying off the shelves. We are generally more compliant than anywhere in the US. But the numbers are still flying up. Why? Ppl are still massing in the private lives and treating this like it aint a thing. And air travel has been ramping up. So ya, the road border is closed, but flying is EH OKAY! You just gotta quarantine after. These ppl are more concerned about making money than fighting this thing. Maybe they are banking heavy on the vaccine eliminating their problem? Idk anymore.

A slight positive I guess is that Russia may be showing signs of successfully fighting it with their vaccine. Itll be interesting to see how specific vaccines handle the different variants that are now popping up.

COVID will be the #1 killer on this planet.
And if this coming year doesn't show a slow down because of the vaccine or not.
Will have to get to either 2 places in our choices.

1. To accept the illness with death and after-effects.

or 2. Do the necessary global lockdown for a given time (1 month) at least to kill this virus.
It may take longer taking care of infections in hospitals.

Stopping the virus, in the beginning, was much easier. IT was simple, but that action to quarantine everyone would be misunderstood and underestimated.

Thought it was just the flu. Over 4k ppl dying from it each day....and rising.

im gonna get the vaccine in early April, barring any setbacks with it.

I'm hopeful the vaccine will be effective, but these numbers are going to be so large it won't look as the vaccine is doing a gah damned thing. A million will be dead by summer sometime. And i don't know a good time to take the vaccine or not.

it seems the vaccine doesn't prevent you from getting COVID more than it helps you beat it/survive. Getting the vaccine doesn't mean you can't give COVID to someone else. Ain't that a bitch.

yes this is something i heard when talking to a highly reliable medical physician yesterday. i basically came to the conclusion that the vaccines effectiveness can range from actually making you immune, to giving you a much better fighting chance against it if you do get it, to not really doing anything for you.

I have a suggestion for all. I am aghast that its not on bulletin boards and on very newscast.

VITAMINS. A few are incredibly effective at blocking the virus attachment to our cells because they basically fill the h2 receptor that COVID's spikey protein likes.

Its that simple I think...sounds stupid, but the science that says it works.

Then infection rates will very well go up as ppl are vaccinated. If ppl can be still be carriers, then while vaccination isn't total, you'll have more ppl rolling around who think they dont have covid but can and are transmitting covid! And you know while ppl feel they are healthy and or immune they will take a lot more risks, spend more time in places spreading shit that they dont even realize they have.
