Ninja Gaiden can go to hell and fucking burn eternally forever and ever. fuck the game. fuck the creator of the game. fuck everyone having anything to do with the game. fuck Nintendo for giving this sadistically difficult game the green light. everything about the game is perfect if you dont mind playing a game that is not meant for you to actually win. just fuck this game.

Yo, for real. Ninja Gaiden and ghosts n goblins are the two hardest video games of all time.

i just dont understand why they gotta be like that. they couldve made it 50% easier and it'd still be legitimately hard to beat. Why?? why the torture?? If NES and Ninja Gaiden were a thing today people would be all over social media complaining about the unnecessary difficulties of the game, parents would be posting about how their kids mental state are being destroyed by the game, they'd say the game is a form of bullying and torturing kids, and there would be a public demand for a recall of the game.

its pretty remarkable how much most kids loved NES when a majority of the games were borderline unbeatable.

Its possible that we only like those games because there wasnt much other options and home gaming was still so young.

Those nintendo games burst pipes or formed diamonds.

I only remember a lot of ppl claiming to have beaten Ninja Gaiden after game genie hit the market, and everyone went scrambling around to get their old games from ppl for a redo.

I beat both of them. But it took bitter work, at a time of life where I could be sent back to the beginning of a level and not throw the controller and yell at the tv, meaning I have no chance of beating it now..outside of playing it on a pc with save state assistance. I did beat the original ninja turtles though on the original hardware, another stupid game where the game is moderately difficult with one shot kill points here and there, until you get inside the technodrome where your shit is quite literally pushed into your tonsils from both ends. I might spend a saturday afternoon on Ninja Gaiden now that its a subject.

TMNT is so memorable for me cause that shit was stressfully hard for me even with the cheating save state option. but with all that stress and agony, i finally get to Shredder and defeat him like in 10 seconds.

Ya, the man himself was easy as fuck. But that level was hell. I recently beat it on a night where I made it to the technodrome with all the turtles hobbled and almost gave up before starting because previously I got mangled on it going into said level with all the turtles fresh and stocked with weapons. That the key to ninendo games, dont quit, keep going, sometimes you just get lucky lol.

i recently went on Google to find a way to beat a certain part of Ninja Gaiden. its like dude is standing on a small platform where there's literally no room. he's taking up the whole space. and i need to advance forward. jumping at him and blading him doesnt work. you get hit and fall to your death everytime. there are no throwing weapons available on the level. its a fucking dead end. and all i could find is someone on a message board basically saying you have to maneuver the screen a certain way to force a glitch and the bastard disappears, thus clearing the way.

i remember one time in Tecmo Bowl i blew a 28 pt 4th qtr lead and lost in OT. i threw the remote, told my wife to STFU, deleted the season, and didnt play the game again for a couple months. that shit was debilitating.

i highly doubt NES wanted the gamer to force a hidden glitch trick in order to advance past that part. motherfuckers.

there's a reason the original Contra is among everyones favorite. that shit was great and actually easy.

I remember in a lot of games NG included, if you stayed running and jumping platform to platform...certain enemies didnt trigger. But at some points if you stopped...youd basically have to give up a life...or edge forward oh so slightly to trigger the enemy...otherwise same one would come at you in a pattern where you couldnt kill it while surviving the encounter. Nintendo definitely did those shits on purpose.

Super Mario Bros. 3 is the GOAT. It was so far ahead of everything else at the time, and it held up incredibly well when I played it on ROM 10 years ago.


Yo, I bought a ColecoVision at a garage sale in '92/'93 for five bucks plus games. Lady even threw in a bowling pin because every garage sale had a single bowling pin back then (what the fuck was that about?). The only games that I remember playing at all were Donkey Kong Jr. and Smurfs(!) game. The rest were unplayable because games were apparently hard as fuck in the 70s and 80s.
