I dont think Trump is stupid, at all. But he's definitely crass and less tactful, like a bull in a China shop mostly who knows where he can be a bull in a china shop. In such aspects, I think he's a bit of a genius. But he does have a penchant for saying some dumb shit sometimes.

DeSantis is more measured socially, and is definitely less drama. Those two men need to go at each other for the presidency, and then whoever wins needs to bow out and take the VP role. I prefer DeSantis though, I think he has less skeletons, and is likely less beholden to interests that will force his policy, I hope anyway, because otherwise he'll be just another controlled piece of shit like the rest of them.
