I am rather disappointed in some of yall for your stance on this. I was in the US when it all hit and I heard all the talk on the tv and radio, and the defending of this movie, and of Sony, the US and the president in this situation.

There is a reason that film makers in every other fucking country on earth dont do shit like this. But the US...and Sony, naw, we can do whatever we want, it's art. Please.

On one side, depicting the assassination of a country's leader is bludgeonly (apparently not a word ftr) disrespectful at the highest level.

On the other side, the person being assassinated is the raw characterization of evil and deserves the worst type of retribution imaginable directly from the own people he leads.

Ultimately, some bullshit ass comedy with complete shit ass actor leads like James Franco depicting said assassination is ultimately an abomination considering the realness of the statements above.

Don't be ridiculous, you two. It's a movie. I could understand a humorless fascist cunt, charading as a demigod, being upset that he is butt of a joke in a terrible American movie, and that might affect his hold on his people who he happily represses. But we're Americans, and an almost American (Canadian). Movies should be able to do whatever they want, and tell whatever message the filmmakers want to tell. If there are consequences because of it, that doesn't mean it shouldn't have been done. If anything, it probably makes the original point even stronger.

The Great Dictator showing what an asshole Hitler was, two years after he won Time Man of the Year, is one of the greatest things Hollywood ever did. Now, The Interview, is clearly not that. But that just makes any backlash towards it even more absurd. It's a Rogen/Franco comedy. They killed everybody in Hollywood in This Is The End last fucking year. It's not a big deal.

Yeah the entire shit seemed a little fishy. The story Took a lot of the heat off the CIA scandal. I figured if north Korea had done it, they would've admited it with pride. Even shadier was how quickly the FBI announced their involvement. They usually wait a while before releasing those kind of details. Even the actors and dirextor have kept quiet by hollywood standards..
