Good for you Truth. Did they tell you which vaccine you received? My dad never felt a thing....but the man says he's immune now. By most accounts he is but we'll see for how long. i told him there's a possibility he can get it and give it but just not get sick. i told him to still stay safe.

I leaning towards telling my parents to get the vaccine. But its complicated. The variants (and I mean dozens of them) are here and going to continue to emerge. Part of their emergence is a direct result of vaccine administration at the peak of the virus in the population. This is what biologists refer to as "selective pressure" that forces it to mutate to survive. The vaccine does seem to have a great positive effect on individuals once given in this short term. I suppose we can just fight fires with this last year proving we won't stop playing with fire in a flammable environment. My parents are older of course, but they've been hunkered down for the most part.
Im not sure it matters much anymore thinking of any kind of long-term worry. Get by...survive...wait...fight a fire....sleep...eat...try to laugh...exercise....repeat.
TOday's email from the school system said the at-home option will continue for the rest of the school year as a response to the government issuing the requirement to reopen schools for in-school learning 5 days a week. I was happy to not have to make any changes or toe the hardline pulling her out of the school system if she was forced to go back.

shiiit, at one point i felt exactly like that during Covid. so I'll take my chances with the "vaccine." me and my wife both aint leaving the hospital anytime soon and we most likely got the shit from there. so different strokes man.

Shit aint even a cure. I have no reason to trust it. I have done too well against Covid. If the risk was higher, and I felt more danger I'd be willing to take a chance. Hell, if I had kids and had to send them to school, I'd probably vac's. But I really only gotta worry about me man, and my freaks lol.

Its an odd halt considering they still insist it's a low risk with only a few people that have had complications. It doesn't make sense unless it's because the impact of the limited amount of JandJ out there means enough other vaccine is available.
And tell me...why didn't the trail draw this complication out?
