A 6-year-old child recently died after being pulled under the rear of the treadmill. In addition, Peloton has received 72 reports of adult users, children, pets and/or objects being pulled under the rear of the treadmill, including 29 reports of injuries to children such as second- and third-degree abrasions, broken bones, and lacerations. seriously?? where the fuck were the parents?? why the fuck is someones dog or iguana anywhere near it?? im not even mad at the Peleton, im mad at people.

The get what they get. Nobody convincing me that ppl who know how to operate a fucking a treadmill and read the instruction manual and protect the shit from the vulnerable are gonna have problems with it. |

Inaccurate statement. This isn't about Peleton. This about understanding what dangers any treadmill can cause because of pure physics. Any treadmill can result in the type of Injuries and deaths being discussed. People who buy home equipment do so because they probably can't make it to a gym, like their own personal space, those are my reasons. It hasn't nothing to do with the type of person who purchases and equipment, more to do with people who don't consider the dangers those equipments or anything in general possess. I almost bought a treadmill, and had I bought a treadmill, I would have unplugged that shit when children visited, along with stern warning to those children's to stay the fuck away from the treadmill. But I do that with anything I would normally just leave laying around and I'm visited by folks with children. Generalizing this type of negligence in association to people who buy Peleton is pretty lame Jermz. Doesn't make sense at all. |

On a workout note V. Tlsk about hitting a wall and loving it. I'm nowhere close to my personal records these days, I'm so tired I'm having Troy le reaching output performances I used to do regular, and I love the strain. I'm pacing myself more, but I ain't lying to myself, I've gotten on that bitch a few times with the intention of smashing my PR and I've fell considerably short of the mark. My girl is hooked on it now and I love seeing her voluptuous ass struggle on that shit.

You don't have to take it back, you're smarter than starting a statement with "The type of people that buy Peleton", which puts you at a loss immediately, the type of people who buy Peleton vary, and has nothing to do with people not being cautious with their environment and certain risks. Shit, I'm not sure me and V could be nay ore different, and he doesn't even have a Peleton but supports my use of it so just in this small forum there are two different types of people associated with the purchase of a Peleton. So the people who buy Peleton, buy Peleton. End of story People who own treadmills, of any kind, and allow children or pets to be around those treadmills while they are in use, are irresponsible, and I still feel for them because I know it's not intentional and the circumstances especially when it involves death, is devestating. |

Pelotons are definitely not for me. I don't like the live sessions in any way. For the money....in a perfect world, the Wahoo Kickr bike is the way to go.,,, standalone or get a month 2-month subscription to other virtual services. Zwift, Rouvy, FulGaz, RGT, BKool, Sufferfest to name a few. The Peloton subscription is never-ending by how i've heard it told...what 30/mo? But it satisfies a shit ton of people that wouldn't do it otherwise. And that's a good thing. My riding is still going. Its an ebb and flow. I'm more powerful than ever but I've gained a few pounds so I'm slightly slower on hills but faster overall. 171lbs. 2 days a week HARD, 2 low 50-65% intensity rides at 2-4hrours, and 2 high aerobic 85% sessions of 1.5-2.5 hours. I comes out to 10-15hours/wk. 200-250 miles and 10,000-22000 ft of vertical every week. I'm at about 4kmiles so far this year with a 1/4 million ft of vert. I never imagined I'd get here, but you just have to stick to it. |

Yea MAN! IT comes. Long PRs are almost always done at a consistent level whatever it is...no intervals. But you might have done it with intervals. That 1hr power is a pure FTP. 191. From there you can set a solid schedule for workouts to ride at very specific levels. Your long-endurance pace is 95-125W. Theoretically fat burning (not sugars or tear down muscle) All the other zones are of course higher than that. V02 for your Tabata intervals should be 200-285Watts...200 length is long 6min 285 hour for 1-3in. Think of it like burning your fuel or matches. Stress-wise, a 20min hard workout can be more stressful than a 2hour ride. When you get up to 160ish you are starting to burn matches. You stay over 200W and even the lower levels get harder and you start to go slower or do the lower paces at more bodily stress. I get carried away. I was going to get into lactic acid accumulation curves.
