As the "Mom's basement" cliche goes, why is it always Mom's basement? Does she own the house, and not Dad? Is Mom a successful career woman? Is Mom's house, really Dad's house, but she divorced him and took everything valuable he had, including his finished basement? Is Dad now living in his Mom's basement as a result? Are Mom and Dad still married, but Mom's parents were more successful than Dad's parents, and dead, and this is an inheritance situation, but in Mom's name only, because they never completely approved of Dad? Has Dad taken ownership of the garage, and Mom the basement, so this sad apartment is seen as her givings, and not Dad's? Is Dad just not around? Is Dad not being around the reason why junior can't get out Mom's basement? Not enough guidance? Nobody to push him to succeed? Is this a modern family, and it's literally Moms' basement? Plural? No cock ever to be found upstairs? Why is it always Mom's basement?
