Those cops would have shot Jamal as soon as they saw him coming. Minimum they would have made him surrender his gun and took him into custody. He wouldnt have gotten the huge benefit of the doubt that he did. And he only would have gotten a fraction of white right support. Their racist bones would have an internal conflict with supporting a black killer of 2 white guys...over 2 white antifa dudes in the street causing trouble and provoking the whole thing.
