She's Ok. They traced it back to a change in meds she'd been on for years. Nobody can explain why her primary changed the meds and her primary care physician is MIA.
My moms can't help herself though. She's a mess and won't help herself. I asked her to take her blood pressure now that its better 140/90 ( and that's not good) then do some breathing exercises for 10 mimutes 2 or 3 times a day. She won't do it or even try it. Weirdly, she is embarrassed doing something so deliberate and simple. Her bp was something insane, like stroke levels when she went to the ER....240/180 or some crazy shit. That kind of level doesn't even seem possible.
She complained about being cold. I told her these breathing exercises would fix that too. She just laughed and kept poking her iPad.

I asked her tonight if she'd try them yet.
She hesitated and said she wil ask the doctor.
YOu know...the same one who caused the med change and ER visit.
I gave her some science behind it and told her what she'd feel during it.
Warmn, hand and toe tingling, she'd hear her heart beat.
More than anything, I told her, it was my way of getting her to slow down and get self-aware.
Talked about the parasympathetic nervous system and some other mumbo jumbo...hypoventilation and hyperventilation.
That seems to pique her interest.
I told her she might get emotional doing it....and some people do from a flight or fight response.
She said she didn't want her heart to stop.
I finished by just telling her I love her and its free.

pre kidney stones id say may liquid intake was 80% coffee/juice/soda/alcohol and 20% water. now, post kidney stones, id say 90% water and 10% coffee/alcohol/OJ.
i hate drinking water when im not Sahara desert dry thirsty. but i force myself.
btw V hows mom?? hope all is well.

She's doing alright. Blood pressure came back under control. thing is, it will come back if she doesn't calm down and stop worrying about what other people are doing.  That woman can't have a normal conversation about talking about what other people are doing, saying, or what she thinks they might be thinking. I don't know wtf that is.
