So very bizarre. This place has been like shrink the last 2 years. I didn't realize it. Just an outlet...take it away and I felt like something was missing. Jeez... So...Hi again..kinda. Both fighters looked pretty bad if you ask me that being Cunningham and Mansour The other fight was another early stoppage. That kid Johnson took it to Stevens...big time. |

I actually did and it was a very good fight. Mansour had him hurt BADLY when he knocked him down twice. After the second knockdown if the round hadn't expired right then, if Mansour had even 10-15 more seconds, this fight was over. USS was lucky to have Smoger because a lot of small balls ref's would have jumped in after the second knockdown. You see stoppages like that all the time like... The Stevens vs Johnson fight kicked fucking ass. Especially the first 5 rounds. Stevens has truly dynamic punching ability, but Johnson was a fucking wild bull in there and completely fearless. Tremendous action. The announcers made it sound like Johnson was kicking his ass but he wasn't, he was winning, but it was close, and Stevens explosion was evident throughout. It looked like Johnson might break Stevens in the 3rd, but he started going away from the body too much, and Stevens got back in the fight in a real way. Stevens got the TKO in the last round after crushing Johnson with a left hook/uppercut then flurrying. At first I was outraged and yelling outloud how fucking pissed I was that the pansy ass ref stopped it, but upon watching the replay I was a little less mad. Probably 80% of the time Johnson lasts the round and wins the fight, but if that 20% happened, he would have been knocked unconscious. Overall it was just a great night of free fights. My boy called me up with a date for me in hand and I turned it down because I was soooooo fucking tired from working and I'm glad I did. Got some pizza, chilled, and caught some good ass fights. |
