good call by him. Wrap your head around this nugget. How many years ago did Baby Bull whip his ass, in what was perceived as his coming out party, and the end of the hill for Julio. Then years and years later its Julio who is by far the more relevant fighter, giving younger more explosive guys like Khan and Porter the business, before bowing down to the future of the WW division. Props to Julio.

Porter fights him twice to get one victory and Thurman ends his career after 3 rounds. Nice.

Good riddance ya bum. Will always be known as that clown getting put to sleep by Kendal Holt amongst others. Bad mothafucka that Corn-Time is. Though he is still unproven.

Diaz wouldn't have retired had he put up a representative outing, and this wasn't a beatdown in a long recent string of beatdowns. Diaz got the One Time fight in the first place because of his good recent showings against the likes of Porter and Khan. im not saying One Time retired him, im just saying what it is.

Yea stop the hate. Corn time retired his ass I must gonna go ahead and say it. I heard no retirement talk from him, and then literally 24 hours after waving the white flag, he just says fuck it I don't even wanna step in the ring anymore. Props to Corny.

I didn't like Julio acting all tough after the Thurman fight, claiming it was the first time he ever gave up in the corner. Half of his stoppage losses have happened that way.

But he had a good career, and the fact that he's been semi relevant the last couple of years is pretty badass. I thought he was finished after he lost to that bum Cayo.

The sixth guy who gets a knockout doesn't get credit for retiring him. Get that shit out of here. I doubt we never see him in the ring again, anyways.

Yea it does. Diaz wasn't looking for retirement. He was looking to beat Thurman. You think he retired if he had won?

Diaz is 0-3-1 in his past four fights
Before this fight happened it was clear what was supposed to happen...
Thurman wins impressively...
Diaz one uped the myth and didn't come back out..."I am not ashamed of my work" :eusa_think:
"Ouch...my rib hurts..."
THurman...A legend is born. :kopfpatsch:

If Diaz loses competitively, he's probably in the market for a Broner fight, or Lucas, or main eventing on FS1 against Callazo or Soto K, or a Zab fight, or a Berto fight. its not about being 0-3-1. its about staying relevant enough to get guys like Porter, Khan, and Thurman. Thurman ended that shit. Diaz is no longer that type of viable option because he got destroyed. so he retired because of it. Simple concept. Paulie may also retire, wasnt in his plans, until Porter nearly killed him.

"Retiring" someone should be reserved for guys who aren't already at the end of their rope. Barrera essentially retired Naz, even though he didn't knock him out or keep him from fighting one more time. We were all talking about how Thurman was going to destroy Diaz before it happened. Stop with the bullshit, guys.
