Its coming. I don't know if it will be worth a damn, but I hope so. Maidana has about 3 rounds to make an impact or its over I'd guess. He has already said he has to come at FLoyd early like Broner. IF I were Maidana I would just rough him the fuck up....low blows...hit him anywhere it might hurt....maybe even have a point deducted....make Floyd do the squinty face. Fuck it...thats the only real chance Maidana has but I'm not going to discount him anymore. Its always hard to tell if recent fights are an illusion or if they are the same fighter that the past has shown. Maidana has heart and Floyd will try to freeze him like everyone seems to be after a few rounds.

Everyone always has a plan. Everyone now says they are gonna bring it to Floyd, and most of the time they do, and within 6 rounds they are pacified. Its better than trying to outbox him. it'll be fun to see if someone else can be successful. Maybe Maidana is unorthodox enough to get something in on Floyd.

Am I the only one seeing this skeleton? Or is it real? He is everywhere.

What skeleton? I see a man with white hair looking to his right in the background. That's about it.

Marcos is definitely taking this fight serious. He has seemed very no-nonsense about the whole thing. He's definitely focused. Who knows...I think it'll be a mistake on Floyd's part if he allows Maidana to bring him to the ropes and try to slip Maidana's shots and counter him. I am curious as to how Marcos will deal with Mayweather's incessant forearms shivers. When Broner did it to Marcos, he just kind of sat there and took it. I think he should foul the shit out of FLoyd the first time he puts his forearm in his throat--and it WILL happen. Marcos has to fight dirty in this fight and basically say "fuck the point deductions".

I'd love it if Maidana sold out to the body.

I expect a boxing clinic by the great Floyd Mayweather. 9-3 with the last 3 rounds being swept away with ease by Floyd.

10-2. He's showing Chino respect though, or so it seems on All Access. He cut up Broner more than Chino in the first episode lol.

I'm saying May gets the stoppage. 11 rounds or less. Book it.

I think so too. Maidana leaves his feet to throw punches and leaves himself wide open when he attacks. If Maidana was a big guy I'd feel different, but he's an average size welterweight dealing with an in between ww and jmw Floyd.

Both guys are in great shape, but Floyd is so much faster than this guy. It won't be close.

In order for Floyd to finish Maidana, he's going to have to put himself at risk of getting hit with big shots, and I don't think he's willing to do that. Sure, we've seen Maidana hurt, down, but, when that happens, he gets back up and brings hell with him. So, I don't see Floyd getting a KO.

Floyd's not stopping Chino. He'll hurt him at some point, probably with a left hook, but he's not going to close the show with Maidana. And he probably shouldn't. Maidana exchanges when he's hurt, and Floyd's gonna get knocked out in an exchange one day. Don't think it'll be this week, though. 8-4/9-3 type decision for Money. He's too old to go flawless victory anymore.

All true and valid points. But he also charges in on those clumsy slow feet of his. He can get turnbuckled after a while of eating punches. And u know he don't like them body punches

this is floyds easiest fight since the gatti fight....
i was more worried about ortiz than i am about maidana!
this dude is a statue he poses no threat to floyd whatsoever.
after canelo, floyd's not gonna feel anything that little chino has to offer...
floyd should knock this dude out,but he probably wont due to the fact he's gonna fight in september!

if he's pressing for a ko and his hand gets hurt he's just gonna coast to the decision and im not gonna knock that.with ortiz i was worried about his handspeed and left hand...
hatton's roughhousing worried me a little bit.
but maidana doesnt do anything that bothers me even remotely.
yea he has some power, but he's not stronger or faster with his hands than cotto or canelo so there's nothing to worry about really.

im praying floyd fights a better opponent in september, but at the end of the day nobody can beat him anyway! canelo just looked awesome against angulo but floyd killed him...
if cotto beats sergio(which i doubt)he cant fight any better against floyd than he did the 1st time so...unless pac gets some balls and buys out arum that fight aint gonna happen either.

Post subject:  Re: Money vs. El Chino

Floyd's hands are still bad...it's not like they improve over time...trust me. I think that's one of the reasons he doesn't knock guys out anymore or even try to. It's also the reason he doesn't go to the body--because the body is a more immovable force than the head. So, Maidana just needs to try to get to the late rounds and see if he can work some magic. If Maidana is going to lose, he may as well lose swinging as much as possible. No point in just following Floyd around the ring for 12 rounds--which is probably what will happen.

Maidana is going to have to fake some of those power shots before letting them go just as he did with Broner. Im praying this isn't a stinker.
