It's good to see that not everyone is afraid to fight Shakur. They had to run down the list to get to Martin because everyone higher has no interest in fighting the kid. Martin gets all the respect for stepping up.

Ya man :hearty-laugh: Shakur already turned down a career money contract with Haney. Frank doing the same here with Shakur. Maybe he don't like the money. He shouldn't take a poor deal if he thinks he's worth more. Boxers need to stand up for themselves. :boxer:

He definitely shouldn't pull out a deal he agreed to when he could've just let the fight go to purse bid and receive 40%. He wasn't forced to agree. He agreed so the fight wouldn't go to a purse bid. If Shakur did the SAME thing I wouldn't let him make it at all. No favoritism here.

Shakur's fortune is destined. Unless Martin knows he's about to fight Tank, dude may never make it to that kind of payday ever again. PBC probably decided they'd rather sacrifice him in-house to Tank. Can't keep losing to Top Rank fighters. They get exposed whenever they cross the street.

So money wasnt discussed according to Frank Martin. He agreed to everything, except the money to avoid a purse bid where he would have gotten less money. Frank Martin wasnt even in the negotiations apparently but he was clear on the money he wanted. Purse bid was avoided, then they offered Frank the 1 mil wanted more money and it wasn't given. So he said no.

So turnabout, Martin aint any diff than Stevenson. Should he have accepted the fight? Yes, he should have, just like Shakur should have accepted the Haney fight, the both some bitch ass neguses.

Stevenson feeling the effects of the winky wright school of business. So is Martin.
