Oscar's resume is obviously top notch, littered with great boxers all across different divisions. Arturo Gatti, at least to me, has always seemed like a bit of an afterthought on his resume. Which is crazy since Gatti is a *HOFer.

Gatti isnt great for anyone. Hes a high C fighter at best with an exciting style. That includes for Floyd of course.

I completely agree. But I just get stook on the idea that so many support his HOF status but then it's like u said, na he's not a top name on anyone's resume. But he's a HOFer. Obviously your, and my stance is what it is and NO, in our minds he's not a HOFer and it's not a great name on the resume for someone like Oscar.

Ya its funny because I would otherwise disapprove of putting a c fighter in the HOf. But I dont argue it with Gatti.

It just goes to say that HOF status alone aint enough to be one on a great fighters resume.

Hes not even top 5 on Oscars resume....not even 10.

Have ya seen "The Golden Boy" 2 part documentary on HBO?? Absolutely fantastic. Props to Oscar for not shying away from the fact that he's an epic and phony POS. :hearty-laugh:

The fishnet saga was absolutely hilarious. You'll enjoy that if nothing else.

Gatti was great for Floyd because it was like a coming out party. Floyd first PPV. To the masses. And Floyd issued out a legendary ass beatin. Even tho we all know Gatti was nowhere near Floyds level, to the casuals and Gatti worshippers, Floyd stamped himself as that guy.

Oscar gave him just as severe a beating, but it wasn't PPV, and Oscar was so much bigger. Gatti was also not on a high like he was with Floyd. It was like a tuneup for Oscar.

I would also say Gatti was a great win for Mickey Ward and that gift they gave us all, the first time
