HE's right. It's a bit of smoke and mirrors. If he put Boo Boo and Charlo and Benavidez on it instead of a raft of 168 pseudo bums, it would be different. Him fighting Bivol was an attempted cherry pick gone horribly wrong.

He can only fight whos available, and he did that, except for the 3 that would have been the absolute best (other than Bivol). So Andre aint telling a lie.

Yes and no.

Lara was prime. Trout was prime. Billy Hoe and Plant was prime. And i'd say GGG was still prime. And Jacobs.

Now the Lara fight was disputable, as I thought Lara won, but he had no room to complain given how he fought.

Ward is alluding to the Kovalev, Mosley, Cotto, Kirkland, etc type wins. Where there is a name but they were older or just not prime. He also may be saying GGG was old.

I think his resume is a mixed bag but overall still HOF worthy. But it would be nice if he fought a Benavidez or Charlo.

Ya Ice see I think Ward was talking about Elite prime fighters, and on that he's correct. Kirkland wasnt that, Mosley was washed, Cotto was also washed, so was Kovalev. Lara was prime, but what did Lara do otherwise, he's not elite. Jacobs was a good fighter, but he wasnt elite either. Billy Hoe, trout, plant, not elite.

That leaves Benavidez, Boo Boo, Charlo, and maybe Ward himself, who some ppl were foolishing saying would lose to Canelo during Canelos high.

If he beat Bivol, Bivol would have been that W, but I dont think Canelo realized that Bivol was elite, I think it was a cherry pick gone wrong and he was dealing with another piece of euro trash, and if he knew what Bivol actually was he never would have taken the fight. BUt I still give him credit for taking it, but we dont overly credit losses man.

Is what it is, just take his ass out of the top 10 p4p until he gets a proper win.

He wasn't in his absolute prime but was still coming off a few dominant wins and had a legit strap as well. And yes, Roach Coach had briefly instilled a new albeit brief energy and life into Miguel lol.

Cotto landed a lot of punches on Canelo. So did Khan for that matter.

Khan was actually up until he got flattened.

I think Canelo was juiced for Cotto. I deeply feel this to be true. That fight was right before he got busted. He was crazy strong and crisp that night and brushed off anything Cotto hit him with or had for him.
