Rematch asap imo.

hell no man, Molina would die. He did well for the first 2 rds and was brutalized from that point on.

Lucas-Porter is more intriguing to me than Lucas-Thurman. Thurman waxes both.

Diaz needs to work and jab. Needs to stop sticking his head out.

Kieth landed flush early

That was a great fight. Lucas looked confused in the the first couple of rounds but once he found his range, it was over. Props to Molina though. Dude showed a lot of heart.

Thurman's chin is a little suspect. I think he'd dominate Lucas from the outside, but he'd have to control the distance for 12 rounds to win.

Was at the event. Just a few thoughts..

I scored the Figueroa fight a draw but I thought I was tripping. Maybe I didn't pay enough attention or something like that. The fight was incredibly boring and a lot of people booed. I'm relieved I'm not the only one that saw it the same...

Kudos to Molina for lasting as long as he did. Can't get it done without an effective left hand though. I heard many clamouring it as fight of the year but I don't think so. The last 3 rounds were completely one-sided..

Thurman looked sharp and fast. Diaz started to have some success. Too bad it ended the way it did. I didn't see the body shot. I like Thurman but still not sold on him. Mathysse would be his toughest challenge and I wonder how he would handle constant pressure from a stronger fighter. I think I'd pick porter over Thurman though..

THat 118-110 scorecard was insane. I thought Belmontes gave away the fight if it was close. His corner was yelling at him and he didn't respond or change. I wouldn't have had a problem with a draw.

I think Thurman got buzzed at the end in the exchange. He is wide open during those exchanges where he does what the crowd wants. He is going to have to be careful at high level comp. HE did exactly what was expected so their isn't much reason for kudos here. Thurman looks like a great gifted fighter of epically corny proportions. Cool enough dude. When he does get a loss it won't phase him in the least he thinks positively and always ahead.

Thurman did to Diaz what Porter couldn't do to him in 2 fights. Porter - Thurman need to get it on after one more fight each. There shouldn't be a 2 or a year wait.

only reason for kudos is that Thurman did in 3 rds what Porter needed 2 whole fights to do, and Khan really didn't do through 1 whole fight. But then again maybe that's says more about Porter and Khan, but people love slurping Porter now-a-days (partly because of what he did to Paulie of all people) so yea its worth mentioning what Kaos just mentioned. 3 rds. and of course with the hype comes the nitpicking along with praise which V is doing. oh I think he got caught that one time when he did this or that. He may have a suspect chin because a good puncher caught him on the chin and it bothered him for a second.

Sure, they should fight. But they should all be gunning for Floyd before butchering each other.
Whatever THurman did to Diaz must be because Porter damaged him...
Right?
POrter and THurman would be a good fight...toss up IMO.
Better skills of course is Thurman but I think Thurman would eventually be forced to fight Porter's fight.
Doesn't matter though....it all just talk.

Porter's fight? Which one is that? The brawling style which would favor the hard hitting Thurman? Or Keith can choose to box like he did with Chaves when he needed to adjust.

Porter is one good boxer away from getting shutout. Same way I think Thurman is a tenth of a second too late and gets KOd pulling straight back. I think Porter and Thurman should fight of course, but if one got the invite for FLoyd I'd think that would be excuse enough to hold off. :-) IF they did fight it should be an automatic Floyd invite but nothing is automatic with FLoyd. He has a lot to choose from...

I don't get this "Thurman gets ko'd" stuff. I'm must be missing something. When did he get badly wobbled or stumble doing the 2 step? From what I seen his chin is dam good considering he was hit hard by both Chaves and Soto-Karass.

Because he does shit like jump straight back, he leads with left uppercuts, and comes in too quickly following people. He makes mistakes that his current opposition can't do much with but I'm not hating on the guy I'm just stating what I see. Someone is going to time it, follow him straight back for a half second longer, or be fast enough to counter those mistakes. I see this and I know someone who will study him will too. He does it consistently. He has great offensive skills.

I love to see THurman against any top guy....Floyd...Pac...Bradley....any of them...but lets get on with it and stop these bullshit fights like Diaz. Lets face it...Diaz gets a title shot going 0-2 before the THurman fight and DIaz has never won a fight at WW. Guppie met big fish.

No he wouldn't. Cause Lucas wouldn't last 12 with him

Lets see Matthysse at 147 before we talk about him fighting a big WW like Thurman.

Until I see otherwise, Thurman would fuck Matthysse up.

Exactly. Great post. I like Corn-Time's skill and style, but he got caught by Soto K of all people throwing an uppercut from a mile away, when he got stunned, in this one he was trying extremely hard to do something, Diaz landed some left to his head and wobbled him Thurman needs to relax a little bit in there. He may in fact be chinny. But no knock on his performance he whooped that trick and made him quit on his stool after 3. Impressive. He looks like trouble for anybody at 140-147. But bottom line he needs some stiffer comp and he still corny as fuck

You get on a Thurman for facing a Diaz. But it took two fights for Porter to beat him lol. So does that mean Porter and DIaz were 2 guppies when they faced each other? Lol
