I've been so out of the loop, haven't seen either of their last few fights. I'm a goddamn casual now, boys. Always preferred Bud (more skills, less car accidents). The only thing that's ever made me doubt Bud is he has one of the worst resumes of all time (for someone of his caliber). Not quite Golovkin bad, but it is putrid. There's no getting around that. Feeling less concern for Spence's size advantage. He's not that much bigger. Bud even has a reach advantage. I want to go bold and be like, "This will be Calzaghe-Lacy, Bud in the Calzaghe role," but Spence is so much better than Lacy, I'm not going with a take that hot. Stylistically, it's going to have be a bit similar for Bud, alternating between matador/aggressor, knowing the right time to switch, he just has a much better fighter in front of him, and will have a much more difficult time. Can picture Bud getting knocked down, but winning most of the rounds for a split decision win that should be unanimous. But I say this with little confidence. Just haven't done the work. Boxing predicting game passed me by. I'm like a Leonardo DiCaprio girlfriend after turning 25, my time has passed.
