In the end, cant be ducking, Benavidez forfeited his right when he lost the belt on the scale.

But Canelo do need to fight him, or some combo of the young guns, and thats all there is to it.

It can be a duck. And it is a duck. Look at these rankings. Benavidez sitting right there at #2. 25-0. Young strong kid. Not some weak euro light hitter, or someone who been defeated before. Styles make fights and his trainer knows its not the easiest style for Canelo.

https://www.espn.com/boxing/story/_/id/ ... vision#LHW

Look at the top 3 guys right above Canelo. All in there prime and combined records of 79-0.

But he wanna leapfrog right over that class for some scrub cruiserweight. If its a one and done I guess its whatever. I assume that too. But he will probably make a 3rd fight with old crusty ass GGG. Some may still want to see that but GGG is dam near 40 and showing it. Shit is weak.

If dude aint fuck his weight up, the fight woulda happened by now because he's have a belt to prevent Canelo from claiming undisputed, which he clearly covets. Its his own fault man. Not a singular duck, not yet anyway. But as a whole, Canelo IS ducking the entirety of the young guns by opting for bums.

I can't/won't rep someone who is gonna lose a title on the scales.

It's unprofessional. Once you do that, you need to just comb your beard and wait your turn, not carry on talking shit like you're owed something.

Simply put, Canelo doesn't fight the best around his weight class since GGG. Call it what you want. It's his-story.

This is undeniable from afar. But when you look up close a myriad of fuckery gets exposed i hate to say it. Jermall could have already had his canelo fight but he declined it when it was offered for whatever reason. Benavidez fucked his opportunity up in one of the worst ways you can, on the scales. Not sure what boo boos fuck up was but I bet i could find it and it probably has something to do with bad business just like it was with his chance to fight Mall Charlo. So yea, when these dudes bitch, I get it, and I sympathize, but only so much.

When the cash King comes knocking you open the door, and you have your affairs in order up til then, you dont fuck it up.

With all that said, Canelo's career is still a little fools gold to me. I don't know what else to make of leaving the middleweight division after just 3 fights, with so much unfinished business, to go to the weakest division. Becoming undisputed at middleweight or light heavyweight is way more glorious than 168. Now he's carefully choosing which light heavyweights to fight or if he should leap over that division for an easier fight.

Look past the belts and just look at the opponents he's faced, who has he beat lately that has any notable wins?

I agree with this, except, my eyes tell me he would fuck up everyone at 160. He is that fucking good. Would I rather he have run through charlo, boo boo, etc? Sure. Do I think he squashes those guys? Sure. SO I don't know in the end how much it matters/ :eusa_think:

I think he left DAZN because they wanted him to fight the big names and he wasn't with that.

At the end of the day, Canelo's clever man. He knows his immense, Mexican fanbase's going out, partying to celebrate him, every time he fights.

Considering it doesn't matter his opponent to make Mucho Dinero, why would he take risky fights? Difference though is, when Floyd, Oscar and Manny posessed that type of Star power, they fought everybody. These niggas ain't cut the same. Hopefully Errol will fight Bud and Boots then Castana and we can have some big fish that's worthy and not suspect.

Word on the street has appeared that due to backlash, Canelo is now negotiating with Mall Charlo for a fight on Cinco De Mayo.

Canelo will pull Charlo to 168, an unfamiliar weight class. He already has an advantage. Charlo should have atleast one fight at 168 first. I'd rather see Saul fight Benavides next.

Ya I dont wanna hear any of that bull from Charlo. 168, 164, whatever the fuck Canelo saythe weight supposed to be, show up that weight Negus.

Benavidez right there at 168 though lol its whatever if its Charlo. I just hope Charlo comes to win and not just for the check and share the ring with Canelo.

Stylistically Charlo is an easier fight for Canelo than Benavidez.

Not if it's at the wrong time. Give him a fight or 2 at the weight. They got time to do it the right way. In the meantime, Benavides is ready now.

Why not? Canelo has Benavides right there at number 1 right now. The Charlo offer seems like a duck. If Charlo is given this once in a lifetime offer I guess he should take it. I liked the fight better at 154 and 160. Don't know what Charlo will look like at 168 yet.
