I picked up the phone and woke my Dad's ass up after round 5 with the resounding message, "Dad, Maidana is kicking Floyd's ass. He's doing what he did to Broner to Floyd. Floyd is landing clean shots but Maidana is beating his ass." I would have been hard pressed to score a single round for Maidana after that. 7-5 or 8-4 Floyd. Round 9 is for whatever reason a typically amazing round in boxing matches, and tonight, Floyd kicked Maidana's ass in round 9. 7-5 or 8-4 Floyd. 6-6 is acceptable. That fight was awesome to watch.

I didn't mind Floyd occasional holding at all compared to that disgraceful shit we saw with Khan. and Weeks should have let Maidana work with the one hand when Floyd held him. But Weeks was consistent, Marcos held a couple times and Weeks broke them when Floyd was still punching. I have no ref issues with the Floyd-Marcos fight. he could have deducted a pt from Marcos for some dirty stuff....
