Not that it natters too much but I guess he just had a baby and stayed in Argentina until about a little less than a month out. Rob Garcia and his team have made a huge impact on Maidana now compared to before. Its his daughter so its the right thing to do, but I wouldn't has blamed him for missing out. Maidana doesn't have a boxing background or really give a fuck about the sport so its no surprise, he's just a naturally good ass fighter, I just want to see the best Maidana May 3rd.

being a huge underdog id say it does matter. he needs every advantage he can get. this wouldn't help and can only hurt. he is going to lose either way, but like Herm Edwards said, once you start saying it doesn't matter, get out.

I made this point when Floyd was till playing eenee meenee miiney moe...and when Maidana said that he didn't want to fight Broner yet because of his kid on the way.
I don't think it matters physically. And strategically, who know, maybe less time to prep makes him follow a game plan less and rely more on his fighters instincts. Even after the fight is over, we still wont know which way would have been best because...we wont see the other way...and to date...no ways have worked against Floyd.
I just hope for a good fight.

Marcus will try hard even if it means getting ko'd. He has to much pride to just want to survive 12 rounds and getting shut out ala Canelo. He will take from the Cotto-Floyd fight and learn from it and push harder.
