It's an interesting fight. Lara has looked vulnerable at times, and Canelo got way more credit than he deserved for beating Angulo--which is something Lara already did. I think Canelo will find Lara difficult to hit, but, Lara can't do the same rinse and repeat combination that he likes to do. He's going to have to diversify his attack in this fight. Focusing too much on the straight left hand is a mistake. I'd like to see him use his athleticism and natural speed advantage to set up right hooks to the body and head as he slides to his right.

canelo is gonna be in for a tough fight!
lara is the 2nd best fighter that he's ever fought and its not really close.
lara is also great defensively when he chooses to be though he aint no floyd but who is
he has great footwork and he beat the shit out of trout when canelo struggled....

bottomline is that lara is a matchup nightmare for canelo.
he's bigger and stronger than floyd,but he's not as good as a boxer or defensively but who is?
right now im 50-50 on this fight....
canelo has nothing to lose and everything to gain by beating lara really!
if he loses than the diehard boxing fans will say that lara was the better boxer and he was supposed to win with his superior boxing intellect and defensive prowess.

but if canelo wins,than he fought the best and proved he was better!
since canelo is mexican and not black he could lose 5 times and still be a ppv star so what does a loss matter ?

I think can maybe hurt Canelo at some point, but ultimately I see Canelo dropping Lara a time or two en route to a deserved decision that some may argue with. His team and corner should have another excellent strategy to get the job done. As long as their not too arrogant.

i expect a rather clean victory for canelo. Sure, lara's style can muddy up any fight and make it look closer than it really is, but i expect Canelo to be the windshield that night and lara the bug.

I think Lara will especially be the bug the the later half of the fight looking like he knows the car is coming but can't help but to fly to the light.

Lara might make it boring when he starts running when he feels that Canelo power. I just hope he doesn't get too timid with his punches in the process. He is faster than Canelo so letting his hands go is a must. He can steal enough rounds with his speed at the end of rounds. Just got to make it look good.

If, and this is a big IF, if Lara really gets comfortable and he establishes his distance to a point where he feels ok diving in and out, he will unload more than a few times, I agree though, homebody can also make it extremly boring, all together when you consider Canelo is so selective with his punches.

I'm looking forward to this fight though, two real good fighters about to square off. Good shit.

Big fights usually end up a stinker. If this were to happen it would be cause of Lara. Canelo comes to fight. Lara bores at times. I just hope that Lara realizes that this is his big opportunity to land a Floyd fight.

Excitement almost always has to do with styles. Unless someone gets hurt, this will most likely be "boring" because of both guys. It's more worth our while to talk about who is going to win and why. I think Lara is going to have a tough time if he's forced backwards because Canelo isn't easy to catch coming in, especially compared to pressure fighters like PW and Angulo. But that's the question. Will Canelo really pressure him? If he doesn't do it enough, I have to favor Lara. If he does it even just periodically, I favor Canelo because it'll be something extra for the judges to score for in a fairly static fight. I think Canelo drops him at some point and that's the difference in the fight.
