I think Haney is cool with the Shakur fight....

But I don't think he's cool with giving Shakur breaks he didn't receive.

That's what he says because it somehow sounds fair. Repeating the fuck shit that he took to the "Big Homie" who gave him work.

It's a good way to protect that 0 as well though. That's real important to fighters and promoters in the post-Floyd era.

Loma got 3 million to Haney's 4 million. Let's say Haney vs Shakur split 8 million. Shakur 25% will just be 2 million, a million less than he made in his last fight. Them belts are just props.

I don't think anyone gives a shit about an 0.

That's fans and media

Level of competition and overall money being made is a bigger deal

Nobody cares really about losing to the better man... but they want that rematch clause to make sure they can run it back for more money

I am tired of that 0 narrative that keeps getting pushed. Fighters repeat it in interviews and then blame floyd like its his fault.

They doing what they are doing on their own, they aint afraid of losing, they are afraid of their money prospects not being compensated. And when they do lose, they start speaking against "the trend".

Right, as long as they can market a rematch. Nobody is afraid of dropping their "0" to a fellow elite fighter .. they more worried about that fighter moving on and them not being able to secure another opponent at that price tag.

It's not the singular 0

It's the multiple 0's on the contract

Shakur is the truth like Tank is. Haney not so much.

Bill Haney literally said they'd move to 140 when the heat came at 130. Tank stated he never asked for the big fights.

I don't have to say much. They pretty much tell on themselves if you just listen. This rematch narrative is just that and not even a popular narrative.

Your whole statement proves my point. They don't want to lose leverage and their paychecks(0's) get smaller. I never said they wanted to keep their 0 for pride. :hearty-laugh: :hearty-laugh:
What the fuck? Of course it's about money. You can overhype a fighter more if they're undefeated.

Calm down, nobody blamed Floyd. All I said was post-Floyd era and your head rolled off your neck. Chill, a lot of people try to imitate greatness.

Ahhhh, so Shakur turned down an 8 mil payday, the largest payday he has ever had....to fight Haney....

But he was willing to give Frank Martin a 1 mil payday in a 75/25 split in favor of Martin.....which has gone from Sugar to shit!

Lol. Winky Wright school of business.

Well after all that, it turns out Haney sent Shakur 3 different offers and Shakur declined all 3 without even giving a counter offer. So much for Haney ducking. Niggas who duck dont offer a fight 3 times.

What's your source and what were the numbers?

The counter offer was Shakur petitioning the WBC to force the mandatory and asking them to make a better split for him. The WBC did mandate that they fight if Haney was going to stay at 135, so Haney just moved up to avoid their ruling. Can't change that fact that Haney acted like a Diva and left the talks once sanctioning bodies gave him a window.

The Haney's are vultures. Regis looked weak enough to go after after his last performance. Haney didn't go the Teo route that was available to him from being undisputed and even had the nerve to say Regis is the best at 140. You can be blind but you will see it when you need to see it.
