I've really been enjoying these Showtime cards lately. Particularly they been doing some great matchmaking with these opening fights. This was another fun exciting fight.

Holy shit what a fight!

Castano did all he could really. Mall just came prepared. Worked the body where needed. Landed those uppercuts. Slugged on the inside and picked shots in the pocket. Thats actually the best Mall has ever looked. The extra long camp due to castano pulling out definitely made Mall more sharp.

Derrick James is one of if not the best trainer in the game.

Yup great fight. Quite satistied. Boots held up his end against Bum ass Custio. I didnt even catch it...Custio got put out too early while i was grilling my steak. I apologize for building him as a suitable opponent..

That was a dope ass main event. Really brings back my love of boxing when I see these type of high stakes fights that are that exciting. Castano fought a winning fight. Charlo just came with some next level shit.

Charlo looked sharp, which has always been a Charlo staple. He was clearly a level above Castano. Just like Harrison. Dont know why he needs rematches for these guys. They are not top fighters. Castano looks so small, he probably could fight at 147.

Great accomplishment by Charlo, he should be on the P4P list. Undisputed champ no way you can deny it. Its rare accomplishment. You need a cake division to do it though. Like Canelo beating the scrub from England, Crawford beating Indongo who somehow had two belts. Charlo cleaning up these 2nd tier guys at 154. Great work by them all but they were cake divisions.

Good shit Ice, right on l accounts. Id say Charlo has a bad habit of fighting undisciplined. It happened in the Harrison fight and the first Castano fight. But he corrects in the second. He goes for too much instead of just taking his time and picking someone apart. I mean before this non of us were really making a big deal about Mell the boxer. More like just a strong athletic dude with length grit and a chin who can put it on you but with a fairly basic style .

But he showed much more sat night. Patience, counter punching, setups, pocket and space management. Hopefully it has just clicked and that we wont see him regress in his next fight. Him fighting the winner or loser of Spence-crawford would be amazing.

Yea I definitely noticed early how much smaller Castano looked, which I think I give him even more credit for fighting as well as he did through 2 fights against a bigger P4P caliber guy in Charlo. He's a really good fighter.

For sure! Get him in there with a Harrison, Lubin, or that kid that beat up Lubin.

Charlo Fundora is probably the next good interesting fight in that division on paper, but maybe Fundora's ppl wont want that fight right away, and I'm sure Charlo will want a show case next against a Mandatory instead of the kid who brutalized Lubin, even tho he put Lubin to sleep good and quick. 6 foot Charlo having to fight a guy 5 inches taller is must see boxing.

Tim Tszyu needs to bring his ass state side and put in some work instead of hiding out down under.

Yea Castano needs to learn to move his head, especially after attacking or stepping in. He got caught standing straight up with that shitty defense .

Charlos post fight presser was very cringe and he is P4P one of the most unpleasant fighters you really dont care to be around. But at least he acknowledged that and I like what he said about being African-American

That Boots fight reminded me of Wilder vs Scott the one everyone said was fixed or the guy laid down. That shit was a disgrace
